-The most important aspect we all share is Earth, it is the only planet which can sustain human life and continued degradation will result with an unacceptable outcome. The direction Narragansett needs to take is a town endorsed recycling program and community initiatives surrounding environment awareness. Preservation of our local wildlife and wooded areas, the Kinney Ave Preserve. The time has come to invest in energy for Earth, from Earth.
-Ryan holds a unique perspective with this issue in that he has been a college student for five years and has lived in Narragansett for sometime. At the core of the issue is for college students to take responsibility for their actions and the parties they throw. Also, the town needs to open more to college students and understand that they are a vital element of the community.
Favor: Appeals process for landlords and students; like the appellate process bestowed within the Constitution, undertaken in civil proceedings, and in traffic tribunals.
Favor: Year round implementation of the policy.
Favor: Reexamination of max household capacity and street parking.
- Promote long-term goals and solutions for our town that will build and secure a better future.
Favor: Fiscal responsibility and transparency .
Favor: Tourism and local businesses, such as the Pier Market and rental communities, are vital to the future of our town. Promotion and increased venues will benefit the town in the long-term.
Favor: The creation of a Beach Commission that will oversee the Narragansett Town Beach and report recommendations to the Town Council.
