Where has the money gone? A look at the Recovery Act passed by the United States Congress
A look at past remarks regarding local and state events
"A democracy benefits the greatest from a well educated and engaged population. This stems from an individual starting an organization to handle social issues to understanding those issues. This is the case with the biggest debate currently underway regarding the reformation of our health care system."
"We can no longer afford devastating power failures, deteriorating roadways,
underground pipe failures, and inefficient highways during catastrophic storms,
or collapsing bridges. The national and statewide infrastructures can no longer
tolerate a lack of attention."
"With those achievements in mind, it is time to
consider that not all the goals have been achieved and that “not all the
battles have been won.” For one vital goal remains. We have not yet been able
to harness the power and capability of peace."
"I
believe that by increasing aid to our schools and other educational facilities
we can further the progression of the arts, cultural ambitions, develop new
industries, and further societal advancement. However, within the past year
educational funding has been reduced and there was no defense by local
representation and measures were not taken to remove the education cuts from
the budget. Now are students and teachers will be facing hardships with the
emergence of the new school year."
